Preschools are now part of the national strategy of Global Reach in Fiji. This has been helped by the Government making it compulsory for every child to attend preschool before they enter grade one.
To date we have four preschools in operation; one in Suva with 76 children, another in Savusavu with 36 children, one in Labasa with 7 children, one in Daku with 5 children and one in Sigatoka with 5 children. In 2009 we will open a new preschool in Lakena.
Since 2003 we have been running annual teachers workshops providing further teacher training in curriculum planning, craft ideas and other areas. These have been very beneficial. We have plans to open preschools at every CRC outreach church in Fiji.
